We are still rehearsing for Stravinsky's evening during which we will perform two ballet works - Petrushka and The Firebird. We are making great progress, but we still have room for improvement to be 110% ready! In this article, we are bringing you exclusive shots, thanks to which you can take a look at our Friday rehearsal (9 October).
It is still uncertain whether we will be able to present the premieres on the set date as we do not know how the situation will develop and whether we will have a chance to continue rehearsing. Despite these uncertain times, our belief in a successful performance motivates and moves us forward before each rehearsal session.
As we have recently revealed, we are rehearsing the ballet Petrushka under the direction of the renowned choreographer Igor Holováč, who is best known as a ballet master from the Slovak National Theater (SND) in Bratislava, where he has been working for many years. We really appreciate the opportunity to work with this outstanding person.
The production of The Firebird is directed by our permanent, also acclaimed choreographer and director Ján Ďurovčík, who successfully premiered this title in Tokyo in 2004. We are very much looking forward to both works and we will be sorry if we have to postpone the planned premieres. But, of course, in these challenging months, the health of all people remains in the first place, and if necessary, we will postpone the premiere. As the saying goes: good things are worth waiting for. :)
