"THANK YOU, MAESTRO"

Maestro Karel Gott attended the opening night of the musical The Eighth Continent eight years ago.
An interesting detail is the fact that from the promoters of the shows he was going to see, Maestro always asked to sit in the audience completely on the edge, so that he could eventually leave undisturbed and secretly, causing no commotion. He also used to do it this way to avoid having to express his assessment of the show...
It was a great honour for us that not only he stayed to see the performance until the end, but with tears in his eyes he was the first one to stand up and start a standing ovation.
After the premiere, he gave all the media interviews in which he exalted the musical to the skies. Not only us, but also the Czech media were shocked because Maestro did such a thing very rarely.
